~Author's Note: This is a start of a piece I'm starting to create. This isn't finished but I decided to put it out here anyways as I needed a couple of pieces to be added. This is a mix of somewhat Star Wars, somewhat Hunger Games, and Spy High. I used inspiration from all three of these to create this. Let me know what you think ;)
Cherry red hair stuck out of the rectangular box. I could instantly identify it as an orphan. The "peacemakers" probably took the little girl's house and the parents and left her to die. It was a story that was becoming common these days. Too common. It was time for someone to set the so-called "peacemakers" straight.
Let me get things straight. I am Timothy, although most call me Tim. I live in sector 7149 on the planet Jupiter. A long time ago, I might have lived on Earth. But, now it is a big waste planet with piles of trash standing sky-high. There are no living creatures on Earth as there is nothing to sustain it except for trash. Ever since we moved out, we dump our trash there so that our new home wont become as dirty and nasty; how could our trash now hurt Earth anymore?
Recently, we were discovered by a race of space people who call themselves the Turge. They look like humans except for the fact that they have pointed ears and pitch black hair whereas we have round ears , bright blue eyes and while we have a range of cherry to blond to chestnut, we do not have the unique black hair shade of the Turge.
The first day they came was a shock to us, as we had not met any other life forms. They showed us a new way of living; one of which many jumped on for the slight chance that this life would turn out better. Now, I can look around me, at the hungry and suffering, and know that this way of living was not for us. The Turge took a fancy to our military and made the "peacekeepers" who was supposed to be superior to the rest of us. They were the ones who took money from the poor, and heavy taxes from the rich. All in all, not a fun world.
Then one day, I decided to do something about it. After seeing orphans mobbing the streets, life was difficult for everyone. People were forced to see that if they didn’t follow the Turge, that the same thing would happen to their family instead. So, in order to keep the thoughts of rebellion in citizen's minds, I started an orphanage, but more like a safe house. A place where orphans can come and live in secret. They all have a hate of the Turge, one that I plan on exploiting on; all I have to do now is wait for the perfect moment...

Mayella: A Queen-To-Be
~Author's Note: This is a random short piece I decided to create for fun. The first paragraph is told from the POV of the queen. The name Mayella is from the book To Kill a Mockingbird. This is a short story so envision the ending for yourself ;) I might continue it but idk yet.
Mayella, a beautiful name, fit for the perfect princess. This is what my child was destined to be named, as she was going to be elegant, beautiful, graceful. She was to be my darling, my pride, and my joy. This was to be fate, the future of the glorious kingdom.
------------------------------
The whole kingdom seemed to wake as one, heedful of the queen's earsplitting screams. These screams could mean two things; one, that the baby was being born and two, that someone was ransacking the castle. Since there were no unseemly sounds, other than the screams and crickets, people safely assumed it was the baby. The kingdomers huddled down in their beds and blankets, trying to drown out the high-pitched screams. As much as the baby was looked forward to, it was the wrong time to give birth… it was night; in the kingdom's minds at least. The children were the only ones up and about as their heads were filled with images of the jam and honey encrusted scones that were hidden in pantries. It was the perfect time to snatch them, with no parents watching.
And suddenly, the screams stopped. A new kind of silence settled across the land, one of hope and relief, and joy and happiness. All the children, parents, godparents and friends rushed to the closest window facing the castle. For if the birth was a success and the new child lived, there would be a glowing crème lantern rising from the east turret, high into the starry night waiting to touch the stars, to let them know that the child was alive and healthy.
Slowly, the people in the valley below the castle saw a slight shining light coming from the designated turret. As the crowd was about to let out sighs of happiness, the lantern was quickly brought back out of sight again by some unseen guard. Everyone groaned; this could not be a good sign. Shortly, two cherry-red lanterns flamed up, side by side, making everyone scream and run into their homes. For on those lanterns were the sign of Tosk, the nearest warring lord. He who was wily, cunning, and rude, somehow took the castle. The thought shook the kingdom; the castle was impenetrable! Yet, it seemed as if they were proved wrong against all odds. Slowly, the kingdomers fell into a great depression, one that only the true child of royalty could obscure. Everything became black and white, life with no meaning. Tosk quickly rounded up the kingdom and made a census. Nothing would escape their notice.
------------------------------
In a village on the outskirts of the kingdom, a lone horseman knocks on a wooden door. A stout, grandmotherly figure steps into the frame and gasps.
"Tato! I thought you were lost when I heard of the castle!" She then ran forward to give her grandson a motherly hug. You could see her quickly step back when a muffled cry came from within his coat. His grandmother then casually asked him, wariness straining her voice, "What do you have there, Tato?"
He replied, "The future queen of Kildenree, Mayella."

Empty Dreams
~Author's Note: This was a simple journal piece needed for a conference to get a good word choice grade. It isn't very finished as therefore, not really edited. Hope you enjoy!
Update: This I think is needed as several people were confused about this ;) The main character is a little girl actor. She is on a movie set with her parents, who expect her to grow famous and rich. Except that she dreams of freedom, home away from home, to be free of the controlling environment.
Hot air streamlined against my body, making me feel as if I was flying in the desert. It was the exact scenario as in my dream; except that here, I was suspended in time. Two short seconds later, a person yelled, “Cut!” and the air stopped. I was slowly lowered to the air mattress beneath and I noticed two people, one a man and one a woman, coming to help me out of my harness. I obediently lifted my arms, just like the little girl my parents expected me to be. As soon as I was free, I ran over the red doors, the ones with an emergency exit sign flashing above. I threw open the doors and looked outside, hoping to see the wilderness from my dream; instead, I see a bustling city full with pedestrians racing to be on time for work and vendors selling their disgusting goods. I sighed, it wasn’t real.
