Christmas Carol Revenge

In "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, Scrooge said to the Spirit of Christmas Present, "Spirit, conduct me where you will. I went forth last night on compulsion, and I learned a lesson which is working now. Tonight, if you have aught to teach me, let me profit by it." To me as a reader, this showed that Scrooge had improved as a person. He showed that he wanted to improve, and to profit. When he finally went through the Spirit's lesson, he learned more about the true value of Christmas.
